Lynda Austin, born and raised
in Wisconsin, is the foremost writer on dog reincarnation and spirituality. Her
grandfather taught her to love and respect nature and animals, especially dogs
and horses. Early on, it was apparent that she possessed a special bond and
ability to understand dogs and the most challenging horses. An accomplished
English and Western equestrian, Austin was intuitively able to identify their
fears and needs and successfully alter behavior problems.
She
earned a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin. Upon graduation from
college, Austin moved to Chicago. From Chicago she and her husband spent
fifteen years in Westchester County, New York and W.Redding, Connecticut.
Austin
worked for several major corporations in management. She left her career to
care for her blind and deaf miniature schnauzer, Misty. When Misty died, Austin
acquired two miniature schnauzers named Maxwell and Melody. She quickly decided
she found more peace and joy in being a stay at home dog mom. Early in
Maxwell's life, he was diagnosed with Cushings Disease which required numerous
visits to the veterinarian until he died at thirteen and a half years old.
Austin states that it was the level of care and love that Maxwell received that
gave him a long quality of life. She learned more from her dogs about, love,
life, and spirituality than any other source.
Later
Austin owned her own retail business in Southern, California where her dogs
were by her side daily.
She is
currently in negotiations with publishers in Australia, India, Korea, Singapore
& Russia.
Austin
is regularly a guest on
talk radio throughout the country. New York Times bestselling author, James
Van Praagh has placed Austin's book,Heavenly Paws,on his suggested reading list
within his website.
